Mom came to my house for lunch today …..

So, on a Thursday I meet up with Mom in town and we go shopping.
Usually then I go back to her house and have lunch then I come home during the afternoon.
However, something different happened today ….it was supposed to rain rain rain, and Mom didn’t want me getting wet as I’m still recovering from a cold and cough …..it is finally getting better ….so we bought the lunch as we normally do, but, instead of going to Moms house for lunch we came to mine.
It was lovely to have her here ….and she was able to watch some more of her gardening programme.
We still had the baguettes, I had Turkey and Mom had ham.
It was a lovely surprise and we had a great time.
Isn’t it great when a change of plan can make you happy ?

Having lunch at your place, watching one of her gardening shows, and enjoying your baguettes sounds really cozy. Those small, ordinary moments often turn out to be the ones we remember most.
