SIL messaged me a while ago to get the box of pichi-pichi from Lola Nena's that she bought for me and daughter. It was such a thoughtful gesture. The pichi-pichi is made from cassava, water and sugar. It is soft, moist, and a bit sticky generously coated with grated cheese, making each bite sweet and satisfying.
Sometimes, it's the simple and unexpected gifts that make us feel appreciated. Receiving this box of pichi-pichi reminded me that food tastes even better when it is shared with love.
Have you ever received a favorite snack as a surprise gift from someone?

Doesn't the cheese flavor clash with the sweet? So nice you got it as a gift.

Oh, yes... My sister used to make peanut butter balls from smooth peanut butter and powdered sugar and then rolled them in melted chocolate and bring me a big batch of them. They're one of my favorite desserts.

What a kind gesture! The other day we recieved a huge box of biscuits from one of our neighbours for letting her family park on our drive as they were attending the daughters wedding celebrations. It really wasn't necessary to gift us we certainly did not do it for favours.
