Someone was making a joke that “skedaddle” was an international word. Obviously, they were kidding. I hadn’t heard that one in awhile, and I’m wondering how many people know and use that word. It means go away. It’s like you see a bothersome animal outside and tell it to skedaddle.

It is a slang term IIRC.
Not sure what it means though.

Yes, we use that here in the UK. It means the same. It is usually used by older people , not sure many youngsters would know what it means.

I have heard that word, but don't use it. I think scram might be close to an international word. It's used alot and I think a lot of people understand it.

That's a fun word. I was on the phone for a long time yesterday with a friend. I should have told her it was time for me to skedaddle when I needed to end the call

I used to use it when the kids were younger. Now it’s rare that I use it or even really hear it.
