Dear Rufus: here's your memo. Please read it and remember to do as instructed. Signed Your exhausted and irritated human.
NO barking at midnight. NO barking at 12:30 AM. NO barking at 1 AM. NO barking at 2 AM. We humans love deer. We humans do NOT want to know there are deer strolling down the street when it is dark out. NO we do not.
You may resume your morning barking. And yes, that was just a creaky old bedroom door doing its old door thing last night when it opened by itself after your favorite human slammed it shut. And another thing: NO night time dark time running up and down the stairs barking.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, dog in residence.

@Ineeddentures NO. I detest the fourth of July. Rufus turns into a quivering ball of jelly when there are fireworks and lights going off. Just no. I hope I have enough meds to help him through it.

Did you find out anything yet in re: to your biopsy? Unless the doc's told you otherwise, it seems unlikely it is cancer. Best of luck regardless!

Oopsie! That's another good reason I don't want animals (other than fishies) inside our house. Once in a while, I can hear the neighborhood dogs barking at squirrels, possums, deer or skunks at Godawful times of the night. Of course, I'm normally awake at night anyway but that doesn't mean I want to hear a racket while I'm reading or talking on myLot.
A baby gate at the bottom of the stairs might help him remember not to run up and down them but he'd probably figure out how to open it sooner or later.

Oh, Rufus. Your human is tired and busy, has a lot on her mind, and needs her rest. Please save your noise for daytime hours. Remember she is your person, she provides your food, yummies, and much love....be good to her, Rufus.
