Folks here are so supportive. I don't feel any worse than I did a month ago or the month before that. Yes my legs hurt like crazy sometimes and I am bent like a pretzel. Gardens and green grass keep me going so I pay for help there cause I need it as bad as some people pop meds.
That being said, it has been just over 5 weeks since I found out that I have- yes I do- have cancer. That is why I am trying to get a doctor surgeon to set an appointment for me. That is why I went through the biopsy. Now I find that the MRI that I am refusing would have had to be done in the city close to Portland, Oregon. An hour and a half each way from my house. Just NO. Just get rid of the problem and let's get on with it.
I made it a few years past my Dad- him and his cigarettes made it to age 67. Just wow, Dad. So I will continue on whatever I finally hear this coming Tuesday. I admit I am a difficult patient. I am at my worse when it comes to painful tests and medical strangers handling me.
Thanks for listening and thanks for being here.

Thank you @Ineeddentures. My back is against the wall. I hope I get away with refusing to do the MRI. I am not at all great when it comes to needles. It looks like more of those will be headed my way. Tuesday probably will be the day I find out when I go in for the Doc appointment. Then we'll see what other hoops I get to jump through.

A lot of patients going though pains are difficult. And I understand why. I would be a difficult one too. That's why I admire medical practitioners who have patience for difficult patients.
It's nice to have supportive people when we're going through tough times.

You are part of our families and families are supposed to support each other, no matter what is happening. I understand about being scared when doctors say the word "cancer". I've had cancer twice and am still around... The first time, I had melanoma and saw the oncologist cut pieces and chunks off of me. The second time, I had rectal cancer and told the oncologist that I was tired of having bits and pieces cut off me so the cancer could take me if it was my time... Then there was remission and the cancer went away.
I don't want you to give up, but I understand if that's what you want.

Keeping you and your hubby in my thoughts.

MRI's are painless....is it the drive, can someone take you there? It's pretty hard to refuse an MRI before a cancer surgery, as they are going to want to have that test to pinpoint the cancer. Darn, I wish there was an easy fix for you to get the MRI. Just please take care of you...There are medical transports here available for those who need them, and the patient can always bring someone for support--spouse, family member, friend. You know I will be praying for you.
