I Mastered The Elliptical Machine Today

I haven't been able to perform very well on the Elliptical machine at the gym for some time. I was beginning to think I couldn't do it at all. I would get winded about 3 minutes and it would hurt my knees. Well, last week I got a cortisone shot in my knee and it doesn't hurt anymore. So I have the Elliptical a try. I was able to do a full 15 minutes without stopping. I probably could have done more but I thought that was a good enough benchmark for today. It was a good morning at the gym and I appreciate my gym membership so much.

You did well. We used to have one at home when our son was a teenager, and I would hop on it every few days. After that he quit using it and I just started hanging laundry on it to dry......so we sold it online.

I think it's great that you even go to the gym. Condos to you. 15 minutes is great.

That’s a really encouraging update ?? Going from struggling after 3 minutes to managing a full 15 minutes is a big improvement, especially after you’d started thinking the elliptical might not be doable anymore.

I have mastered resisting any piece of exercise equipment I can, and I have been very successful at that. lol. Do you remember the scene with Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther when he said used to be master of the parallels? My God, that's a funny scene.

15 minutes without stopping is a good start. The more you use it, the easier it gets. At a point, it becomes second nature

That’s fantastic! It’s nice to know the shot worked so well.

Glad the cortisone shot worked and you were able to do the elliptical machine. You were smart not to overdo it now that your knee doesn't hurt.
