What did I get for Paul McCartney’s 84th birthday? Why, a tornado warning at 4:30 this morning!!
The worst thing in town was flash flooding, because we had over three inches of rain in less than an hour. No injuries that I’ve heard of, though, thank God. So let’s turn the radio on and listen to a song that mentions the Beatles, and hopefully you were waiting for this one.
The Seeker - The Who
Probably the only surprise in my including a Who song is that it isn’t a top ten song.
That’s the bad thing about a top ten list: there’s only room for ten.
To me, a personal opinion, this is a good companion song to “Behind Blue Eyes.” From “When I smile tell me some bad news” to this song’s “Look at my face, ain’t this a smile,” it’s not just the word smile that link the two songs it’s the attitude. “Behind Blue Eyes” is the internal struggle, “The Seeker” is the obvious external one. Everyone can see what’s going on; hence, the chorus, ”They call me the seeker.”
You know, there’s two members of The Who left: singer and guitarist. There’s two Beatles left: drummer and bassist. Just sayin…

We had more rain problems than wind problems, although they did find EF-1 tornado damage in a few places, primarily north of us in Indiana.

I don't know much about tornadoes except that I don't ever want to find out @FourWalls
It's hard to know which is worse, too much rain is really bad and strong winds are really bad, hope you won't get either of them.

@rebelann — thank God, it’s past us now. The primary reason I came on home from my trip is that every place I was is now getting hit with the remnants of Arthur.

I can't recall this song, and I used to listen to the Who a lot. Searching for the meaning of life, or for something to give his life meaning, I think. Sorry I can't recall it.

I thought and thought, and it just didn't ring any bells. Yes, I will have to try again tomorrow!

I honestly don't recognize this at all. You'd think I would've heard it at some point, but to me it's a new Who tune!

The Seekers should have paid the favor back by recording a song called “The Who.”
