Hello everyone. I hope your day is going well. It is 80 degrees F and sunny here at the Jersey Shore. 
I AM OFFICIALLY ON SUMMER VACATION! Woohoo! As expected--today was crazy. The principal (who is retiring) walked through the halls with the band and all of the students lined up along the lockers to clap for him. That was pretty cool. When the bell rang at 11:15am I was out the door! I won't be back there until September 1. 
They had all of the white petunias that were on the stage for graduation on tables in the office for us to take. I took 8 of them. 
I have some empty pots that I can fill now to put out on the landing. I love my little landing garden.
I'm back at the apartment now with the cat crew. I need to walk over to the management office later to pay for the pool pass. She's on her lunch break. For now I'm sitting down catching up on the news and InternetLand.
What's everyone else up to this afternoon?

Can’t believe it’s your summer holidays again already. It just seems like a year ago you were saying the same thing.
As it’s Friday, I was going to go to South Shields pier to try and catch a fish for my supper. Then I remembered that the last time I only caught too much sun, and a cold, so I didn’t bother.

That final-day energy always has a different feel to it, and the principal’s sendoff with the band and students lining the halls sounds like a really memorable way for him to go out. Retirement and the last day of school all rolled into one makes for a big milestone.
