Today is the day I had cataract surgery on my left eye.
Anticipation may have been used to sell ketchup, but I guess it's what kept me from having a good sleep last night.
Nothing to eat or drink after midnight, check in at the hospital at 10:50, surgery at 12:20, discharged about 1:30, then off to get something to eat, and back at the clinic at 4 to check on the eye.
Home about 4:45, drops in the eye and rest for an hour, and here I am with blurry left eye.

It took about 5 hours for you to have cataract surgery.Time at the hospital must have seemed to drag.Happily surgery went well !

Well, I was mildly sedated, so I really didn't care.

Not at all, just felt as if I had something in my eye, but it was still "frozen" for several hours.

@BarBaraPrz I see. Maybe I will undergo that kind of surgery in a few years time.

I hope the surgery went well. Mine was very painful. I'm glad yours wasn't.

@BarBaraPrz They used the anesthetic on my eyes; but it still hurt.

Thanks, it's getting better, doesn't feel as if I've got something in my eye.

Oh, I'm glad. I know that's in my future at some point, not looking forward to it at all. Luckily, the surgery isn't nearly as hard to get through and to recover from as it used to be. I hope it heals very quickly.

Yes, the next 4 weeks, just in time to start on the other eye.

@Ineeddentures They don't operate on both eyes at the same time so that the patient can have some 'normal' vision. Otherwise, they'd be stumbling around walking into things.

@BarBaraPrz
Then 4 weeks with that eye
Might as well just do both eyes for the next 8 weeks
