Two Cups a Pod

It actually wasn't my idea, per se. My wife's cousin, Lorie, filled me in on it. I get two cups of coffee out of a single K-Cup pod, or, 16 ounces.
The coffee tastes just fine to me.
Now, here's the flip side. I do not generally even USE K-Cups. They are WAY too expensive compared to a regular can of coffee, and brewing a whole pot.
By the way, when I make a pot of coffee, I use 6 tablespoons of grounds, if you were curious.
The only time I ever use pods at all is when I am camping, and on mornings when we are off for a trip and it's likely we won't finish the whole pot—since I never throw away unused coffee. I'll finish the pot the next day if need be.
But getting two cups of coffee per pod does help to offset the higher cost of the pods themselves. Have you ever done this? Made two cups from a single pod? And do you even use them, or do you just make a pot like I most often do?

I’ve never made coffee from a pod before.

Bob has had to cut back on coffee, and someone had gifted me some pods. At my brother's house sister-in-law taught me to brew a large cup and rebrew small cup using a large, 16 oz mug. I bought a used machine that is not name brand ($3) and brew with maximum amount of water in the well. I only buy discounted pods. I also still ahve a full pot coffee maker. I just do not think it tastes as good the next day.

I guess for me coffee is coffee, plus I'm cheap and want to use everything up. lol. Our coffee pot at home is a dual-brew, and even though we rarely use the pods at home, we do keep some handy. They also come in handy for guests who just want a quick, fresh cup.

I did the whole pod thing but switched back to brewing my pot every morning. Those pods can be expensive even though convenient. I'll pass on your two cups per pod idea to my friends who still use them.

Never used them, they generate too much waste. We use a cafetiere (or French press, or whatever you call it) which we also take camping as it doesn't need any electricity just hot water.
At home we also have a stove-top espresso maker we use occasionally.

Easier on the budget too.
