Why do you think Trump's "State Fair" has been such a failure? Have you ever been to a State or County Fair?

My mom was from Montana, so I have been to my share of State and County Fairs.
Several days of parents and kids trying to knock things down to win stuffed animals. 4H kids showing off their "livestock."
Multiple Ferris Wheels and other "Scary Rides."for the kids.
A rodeo playing in the background.
Sticky caramel corn and fallen frosties everywhere.
Perhaps a Demolition Derby at the end.
Fairs are festive and fun.They are "Americna."
So how did Trump's DC "State Fair" turn into such a disaster?
Is the "Arcade" small and boring? Is the "Tilt-a-Whirl" broken?
One attendee said, in an interview, that he did not see any animals there.
How do you think this happened?

Any number of Reieasons, but I can assume someone didn't know what they were doing when they set up. And, yes we have fairgrounds that exist year-round, even though the fair only comes around once a year.

I have been to the Colorado State Fair once, to see Night Ranger. I ate some fair food, but didn't go on any rides or anything. Maybe he should've booked Night Ranger.

Yeah, Trump wouldn't know fun if it bit him on the rump. He was probably so distracted by the flag-waving that he forgot to bring any actual fair-style fun and excitement!

@TheHorse He probably has been, but he has such an ego (that he poorly disguises as patriotism) that he just can't let go of long enough to put on a nice fair.

I have been to state fairs in Oklahoma and Kansas. I do not know why Trump's fair flopped, but I suspect people are tired of him making everything be about him. They are not interested in anything with his name on it or his backing.

It doesn't sound like it was done very well plus, many places wouldn't attend. He is well disliked and it shows more and more each time he tries to set up some big event.
Yes, we have a state fair here each summer. I loved going and even worked and then traveled with the carnival.

I have but barley remember it. road a roller coaster and realized I am scared of heights along with the fast motion. I closed my eyes most of the ride. I had my little sister with me, close your eyes, its not so scary. Shows how brave I am lol
As far as animals. most people do not seem to like animals, even if they had them its was rare to see people cherish animals the way some of us do now.

I hope we learn more about what childhood factors led to the creation of such a man. I did read read his niece's first book about him. It was a worthwhile read. I stand by my Dyslexia hypothesis. I don't even know if Dyslexia was a DSM "diagnosis"when Trump was a child.

@wolfgirl569 To me he is a poster child for Dyslexia Awareness. I would like to see more psychologists weigh in on his early deficits.

Here, they're called 'agricultural shows' or Royal Shows in the capital cities, but from what I've heard they're very similar. I'm really only interested in the animals.
