We haven't heard any fireworks going off since around 9 pm last night. It's nice!

@sallypup Is it noisy around your house today?
We still haven't heard any explosions yet. And it's almost 4 pm now.

@DaddyEvil It is pretty quiet. It is also erratic. Just one loud boom and Rufus is upset. I have given anti-depressants to both pups and soon I will also give out a tranquilizer. And dried pieces of beef heart for fun.

Everyone must have gone out of town for a quick weekend get-away.

There was people every where we went today. Lots of people at the two Farmers Markets that we went to. I got two pound of bing cherries for $2. So I was happy with that deal. We went to two yard sales and there was nothing good at either one.

I guess everybody is at a picnic or barbeue, or taking shelter from the heat. It is much quieter here than it normally would be this weekend. I think the heat has kept most in the AC. Maybe it will get busier tonight when it cools down a bit.

The 4th of July is and has always been a very slow day for restaurants. People cook outside, they stay home, etc. Often if they go out to eat that day, they tie it in with a fireworks show so not many are out and about at lunchtime.
