I love custard.
It’s one of those things that is real comfort food …..
My favourite things to have with custard are ……
Apple crumble
Sticky toffee pudding
Stewed rhubarb
Stewed apple
Apple and blackberry crumble
At Christmas I add Brandy ….oh my days Brandy custard is amazing.
Of course it can be eaten cold ….as in a trifle …..

We rarely eat puddings. We can find other desserts that we like better.

@traaceyjayne I hate it when the custard has a skin on it. Pink custard is also anathema.

I like custurd but prefer it cold even on crumbles. I like all kinds of crumble but not too keen on Gooseberry crumble.
When we were kids our mother never really cooked desserts until the end of summer when there was an abundance of blackberries she would then make crumbles, pies & jams. Our dinners were always substantial & very filling with lots of vegetables so she never felt the need to make desserts.
