That Last Day

Shame on me for not posting about the last day at the camp considering I'd posted every day before it, and of course, my myLot fam here was probably on pins and needles waiting for an update. Ahem. But Monday morning I had tons to do, getting the truck loaded and breaking down the camper, pulling it back home and so on and so forth. No time to play on the 'puter. The last day was Sunday, and we decided to just stay and hang out at the campground. We ate leftovers for a brunch of sorts since we had quite a bit of stuff left, and even though anything doesn't get wasted and goes home, the less we have to haul back is always better. It was a cooler day too, so we got to spend more time outside. For dinner it was a simple meal of hamburgers and Italian sausages on the grill with deviled egg potato salad and a macaroni salad on the side. As always, good eats! We got home a little after noon on Monday, and much to our happiness, the pool remained crystal clear and blue while we were away.

I was too. My wife tends to want to wring my neck if the pool goes off. Apparently, she thought she married a chemist. lol

It did and I was. Now looking forward to the next one later this month. I have to admit it is a bit tiring, though, but hey, YOLO, right?

The only complaint was the heat. But it's summer of course. It was still a lot of good fun, and hey, we have to rough it just a LITTLE bit, right?

@porwest It’s too hot to do “other” things. A dip in the pool is the “main” thing! Lol

No shame at all you had the much more important job of packing up camp and getting everything home! Anyone who's broken down a campsite knows that's plenty of work on its own.

@porwest You are right. I love summer. It’s almost 30C here. I just keep away from the heat of the sun.

It really was. I could have done with a bit cooler weather. But hey, it's summer. It's supposed to be hot, right?
