Some Kind of a Summer

Last night I was searching through YouTube and found that old show "This Is Your Life," where a celebrity is celebrated and surprised by their family and friends. I chose to watch the show celebrating my teen idol David Cassidy. After his teen idol days life got kind of tough for him. It reminded me that even for those who seem to have it all, not everything every time works out just fine. It was sad when he left this world. One of his songs, "Some Kind of Summer," reminds me very much of my own summer memories, and listening to it I can see my own life and times before my eyes.

Do you ever visit with your stepson or stepdaughter now? Or are you just not very close to them? I had two stepdaughters and a stepson but never talk with them anymore.

@DaddyEvil they are both in Riga, Latvia. Mara is married and has a little son Mikelis. I keep in touch now and then through Facebook Messenger.

@RasmaSandra I'm glad you keep in touch with them. I used to keep in touch with the youngest stepdaughter until her mother moved in with her in Hawaii but don't want to talk with her mother by accident so don't call her anymore. I'm sure she'll call me if anything I need to know about happens.

@porwest I would rather have what I have even though it's not much than all the problems some of them have. Despite that, I have seen many celebrities who seem to be holding on in their very old age.

I remember David Cassidy from his work as in "The Partridge Family" reruns on television. Too bad his life had troubles when he was no longer a teen idol.
