I used to love popcorn. Such a great choice for a snack. It is a whole grain, low in calories and 3 grams of protein in a 3 cup serving. Fixed in air popper it is only 100 calories. You can fix it in oil or a microwave with varieties from 100 to 500 calories. Here's some ideas on toppings that might be good:
* A scoop of 25 grams of protein powder. It comes in vanilla and chocolate flavors.
* Add nutritional yeast -- 3 grams of protein per tablespoon and has B vitamins, zinc, magnesium, and beta-glucan which all good for the immune system.
* Parmesan --has 242 grams of calcium.
* Peanut butter powder -- you can add honey too for sweetness. ( I had never heard of this in powder form.)

Not a big fan of popcorn, but good to know. I get the less healthy puff corn. Similar texture but no nasty kernels lol

We make air popped popcorn a few times a week but never thought of adding some protein powder. Will have to try it

Thanks for the info but I don't like popcorn at all. I can't stand the smell of it either.
