A year old girl is lucky to be alive when she was swept away by floodwaters in Bryant Arkansas on Wednesday evening. Bryant police officers said that the heavy rains that flooded the streets in Bryant when she was carried several blocks through a flooded stream before she wound up near a creek at Neal Cove. Her relatives reported the good news to the Bryant police that the girl was not harmed after she was found safe. Bryant City officials are going to place "No trespassing" signs around the drainage basin where the girl entered the system. Hopefully the parents will do a better job of watching their children from now on since the 9 year old girl is lucky to be alive. Link is msn.com/en-us/news/us/...

Glad she is alive and well but there should be a system to punish parents who do not watch their kids,

I am in agreement with you that the parents need to be punished for their lack of parenting skills dealing with the 9 year old girl.

Sadly, sometimes it takes a near calamity like this one to wake up parents to the importance of watching their children.

Kids really do not understand danger. They are hard to stop.

It is a miracle that she survived after being swept away by flood waters for several blocks. Water can turn the table on us in the wink of an eye if we take things for granted during floods or out in the sea. Children are easy prey as they get carried away literally!
