Could Gold Ever Strike Twice?

Yesterday we decided to take a ride into Redbud, Illinois, which is about 20 or so miles from where we live. I was just curious, as I go through Redbud when we go camping in Cape Girardeau, and on the way back I saw a white F-250 Super-Duty on the lot at Ed Morse and wanted to check the sticker price.
It was actually not bad at $72k. But it was basically a basic, stripped-down model as well.
Incidentally, any time I am in Redbud, I always stop at the MotoMart in town there. That's where, in March of 2012, Merle and Patricia Butler won $219 million in the MegaMillions lottery.
I got a Powerball ticket only because I stopped playing the MegaMillions when the cost of a ticket jumped to $5.
It's silly to do it, when you think about it. What are the odds gold strikes twice in the same exact spot? But still, the lottery is such that there is no right or wrong. You either have the right 6 numbers, or you don't, and it doesn't matter where the ticket is printed.
The current jackpot for the Powerball, with the next drawing being tonight, is $478 million.

You know what? Since I am realistic about my financial situation, I have been busy adding a bit of money at a time with surveys and such to my account, And it makes me feel like I have won the lottery because now after a long time I will be able to put in a second order this month on Wednesday from Walmart for a few things and I am over the moon glad since usually I can order only once a month and in this heat I need some extra ice cream and juice and such. And tomorrow I cash out from a survey site and then Wednesday will be awesome,

@Fleura At the same time, the way I look at it is, a ticket costs $2 for a chance (albeit a fat one) at hundreds of millions of dollars. There are many things I can think of that I wasted $2 on. Take those "travel" magnets on my fridge. Do I really need those? Granted, they are somewhat useful. Still.

Interesting that you have an Ed Morse dealership in Illinois, we also have one in Florida. But ours is a Chevy dealership.

Happened twice here.
And it happened to the same syndicate.
Notable examples include Richard Davies and Faye Stevenson-Davies, who won a £1 million lottery jackpot for the second time, and the couple David and Kathleen Long, who also won the EuroMillions twice.

That sounds like a nice little road trip. It's always fun to browse at dealerships, even if you're not planning to buy. I have to admit, $72,000 is still a lot of money for a truck, even if that's becoming the norm these days!
