I found a bargain.

I found a real bargain at the store today. @porwest would even approve. I had not planned to go anywhere, but Bob got in the car after breakfast and said "Let's go." so we did.
We had a prescription to pick up.
Back to the bargain. I got two four packs of fresh Angus, cheddar, bacon burgers! Each pack was only $5.40.They were 1/3 pound burgers and very lean. Just what Bob needs to help build his blood. They are delicious.
On the menu--no buns. Coleslaw, baked beans and potato chips. So this is meat for four meals for Bob and I, for less than $11. I hope you had a good lunch too.

@Ineeddentures @JudyEv Angus has been all the trend for a few years now. My grandparents and uncles raised Herefords but there were Angus ranches around them as well.

That is a really good deal. I'd have bought a few packs for that price. I also have a teenage son who could eat us out of house and home if we let him. I love it when the grocery stores have a good deal on meat, especially since my husband's diet is now mostly carb-free.

They only had the two packs, so I bought them. Lately I am not in the store when there is a good markdown on meat. I consider myself to be a markdown queen.

@GardenGerty I always hit up deals when I can. We have a couple of stores that have decent meat dealst that we frequent. I bought chicken buy one get one last weekend. I hate when they are out of things or almost out so you can't get as much as you might like to.
