Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 87 degrees F and cloudy and hazy here at the Jersey Shore. It has something to do with wildfires up in Canada. The high for today is 97 and there's supposed to be a thunderstorm this afternoon. After being up at 2 am chugging water I took Seroquel and went back to bed. That stuff is no joke. I half-woke up at around 6am to what I thought was someone ringing the doorbell. Needless to say I didn't get up. My next wake-up was to hit the bathroom at 9. Finally I woke at 11:30 and decided to start the day. I'm not even going to attempt the pool today due to both the smoke and the high temperature. I'm still a bit red from the other day so my skin can use a break. No big plans other than some cooking and cleaning. Such excitement! What's everyone else up to today?

I am glad you are feeling better. Getting too much sun is no joke in my case. Take care of you, OK? The wildfire smoke sounds so bad there. We are getting some although I know it's not as much as others are getting. I woke up with streaming eyes, and our skies are very hazy. I am going to do everything I can to stay home today. The terrible heat, the smokey haze, and allergy issues are a good enough reason for me!

It isn't as bad as it was a couple of years ago. Then we had literal ashes and debris falling from the sky. But the combination of my asthma and the smoke are keeping me inside today. I hope if it rains later if will clear out some of this.

@NJChicaa We've done the ashes and debris here before, too. Every time that happens, I think of Mt. St. Helens and how terrible it was that week...we were trapped inside, no AC allowed, no HVAC was to be used. Our entire city and surrounding areas were shut down, and everything was covered with at least 6 inches of gritty, gray ash. We were not to drive our cars, if the ash got into the engine, etc. it ruined it. And they told us not to brush it off of our cars or it would scratch. I remember a neighbor did their car and ours with a leaf blower thing. And allergies! They were beyond horrible that week. Stay inside if it's bad out there. It's not worth an asthma attack!

Good morning. It is currently 79F in my part of Missouri this morning. It is cloudy with a 50% chance of storms and showers today. Our high is supposed to reach 84F for a high today. That's not too bad!

I got a phone call from Social Security this morning but they wanted to talk to Pretty, not me.

They woke me up an hour after I went to sleep so I wasn't happy with them. Pretty talked to them about ten minutes and then hung up. I'm still awake. I hope you checked your front door for any notes that somebody might have left. Hope you have a wonderful day.
