We all like to have soft and pretty towels to reach for after a shower or bath. There are some ways you can keep them nice longer.
Towels can accumulate residue from detergent over time. One solution is to add one cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle instead of detergent. This breaks down the residue and restores softness. Using vinegar is a cost-effective way to care for you towels without relying on harsh chemicals.
Using soda is another way to remove odor and grime. Soak them in a mixture of warm water and soda for a few minutes before washing.
Fabric softener actually does more harm than good. Discontinuing its use can help to keep towels absorbent and extend their lifespan.
I hope these ideas are helpful.

I have used soda when making my own laundry detergent, and have used white vinegar in all my loads for close to 25 years. I do not care for fabric softeners.

I don't either. Expensive and bad for good materials.

I am going to try this, My towels can use some help and I've been thinking I need new ones. If this works it would certainly save me a bunch of money

These may give them a little oomph and make them last awhile longer.
