Wonderful Rain

It's very light right now but it is clearing the air. I watered all of my plants while enjoying the rain. It feels good. I had a good day at the auction too. I got another flat of moss rose for 2 dollars. It will fill in the spaces where my cabbage plants were. I also finally got a cut flower display rack. I will have hubby drill holes in the pots for drainage and then transplant my gladiolus to those. These are square and my other ones are round is why I need to transfer them. I got it for 11 dollars. I have been trying for a couple of years to get one under 20. Hope UPS doesn't waste time with my hardware cloth. It only has to come from Georgia. It shows as being at the facility now. I now know why I messed up the duck eggs I had last year. A friend bought a duck from that guy and it's a muscovy. Most ducks take 28 days to hatch but those take 35 days. I needed to wait another week before giving up. Hope you had a good day.

It was hit and miss here with the rain. The airport weather office registered a tenth of an inch of rain, but some places didn’t get a drop and other places got nearly an inch. Muscovy ducks are quite interesting looking! Never will forget the first time I saw one, on the lake at the state capital building in Baton Rouge.

We finally got a good one after 9. Wish it could have lasted longer. They really are different. I enjoyed them when I had some

I can't wait to see the cut flower display rack that you picked up today. That sounds like it would be so pretty.

It rained here yesterday morning... I didn't go outside because weed pollen is really high here and I'm having bad allergies right now.

@wolfgirl569 I keep hoping the rain/storms will wash most of it out of the air. Pretty and I were talking about going to the farmer's market in the next town over from us but with the problems we're having with allergies, we decided we shouldn't go out.

Oh that's too bad about the ducks. Maybe you could try again. The flower rack sounds like a good deal.

What a shame you did not know that the duck was a Muscovy, another week and you would had some very pretty ducks. A little rain during summer is always good.

@wolfgirl569 - They are cute ducks, not sure if their eggs are good to eat.

At least they would have hatched. I don't really want muscovys again. But they are great ducks to enjoy.

What a shame about the duck eggs. There's always something to learn it seems.

When I had asked him about what type he described what seemed to be peking and rouen types. Those only take 28 days. If he had mentioned all the red around the eyes I would have known to wait.
