What was up with that World Cup half time show?

I have zero interest in soccer/football so I haven't watched any of it. None. I did see terrible reviews of the first ever half-time show today for the final match here in NJ and they were pretty scathing so of course I had to see what they were all about. The lineup included Madonna, Shakira, BTS (K-pop), Justin Bieber, and others I'm forgetting. I've watched the performance twice now and I'm still like WTF? What a you-know-what show. Madonna was just lip synching a song from over 20 years ago. Bieber was singing who knows what acousitcally which of course is strange in such a huge venue. I don't follow K-pop but the BTS bit was good. Shakira was the hit of the piece. It really should have just been her and maybe BTS. The rest of it was forgettable.
