A family in Iowa escapes from a house fire

A family that resides in Iowa City Iowa are grateful that their neighbors warned them in time regarding that their house was on fire on Friday evening around 11:30 pm.
Firefighters from the Iowa City Fire Department came to their residence in Galway Court when they saw two autos on fire with an attached garage on fire when the firefighters were able to rescue two cats who were inside the burning house and return them to their owners safely.
The house fire was doused within 20 minutes. The good news is that no one was hurt in the fire.
The cause of the fire was when one of the autos caught fire and the fire spread to the second auto.
The damage to the home was around $115,000 dollars as investigators are investigating the cause of the fire of the home at this time.

I'm so glad everyone made it out safely, including the two cats. A fire can spread so quickly, especially when it starts in a garage with vehicles, so it's fortunate the neighbors noticed it and alerted the family in time.
