Does Your House Have Ceiling Fans?

They were a 'thing' here at one time, I think maybe the 1980s? But now they mostly seem to have gone out of fashion again.

I have two right now. One needs replaced. I also have another to match the replacement to put in the dining room. I would like to have more. Maybe everywhere except the kitchen and bath.

My dad’s house has them. He’s got really tall ceilings so his fans are operated by remote control. The apartments here have them, with the exception of a couple, including my current apartment. Which is okay with me. When I first moved into this hellhole my apartment had a fan, but I never used it because it aggravates my sinuses. So I was happy my current one didn’t have a ceiling fan, and still am.

Yes, we have ceiling fans in every room but the one in my bedroom hasn't worked since we moved in 10 years ago. I have a stand fan at the foot of my bed that runs almost year round. We don't use the fans in any other room.

When we bought our house new 35 years ago, it did not have ceiling fans. Through the years my husband installed a ceiling fan in every room in the house except the kitchen.

Yes, I have one in my house. I installed it in the living room. It looks exactly like the picture you showed, with a fan and a light. I prefer ceiling fans to air conditioning. It saves on electricity costs. It also looks more aesthetically pleasing. It's a decorative element, especially the beautifully shaped lamp.
