Curry and Chips
Last night I cooked a Chicken Bhuna
We had not had a home cooked or actually any curry in 16 days as we had been on holiday and only returned home on Monday
It was good.
Yvonne did the dips and the Onion Bhajis and Naan Bread.
So we had some left
Two big portions
So I put it into containers and put it in the fridge when it had cooled
So tonight we had it with Chips
Yum
Curry anyone

I would probably, like separately, but not together. I don't care for wet fries..although I admit I enjoyed poutine

They weren't wet lol
Because they are fried in Lard and are crispy

Seriously
Chips cooked in very hot Lard go crispy on the outside and don't doak up liquid
What do you use to cook your chips in

Sounds very interesting, but I think I would still have to pass on that. The potatoes (chips) look good though!

Second day curry is always good Judy
The spices have an extra day to nature.

16 days without a curry
I wasn't going to a take away because I would be let down
Indian takeaway isn't what it used to be
My Bhuna is better than even the Home style Bhuna in The Koohe Noor
And I used extra sweet peppers, red and yellow.
I don't know what you are missing, but if you ever considered to eat chicken, my Bhuna would be a great place to start

My flash on the phone camera.
It works
Shredded some nice hot red chillies on it though
Burned my lips

It looks good. Almost like a combination I heat up in my toaster oven even though it is not curry it is good, I put hot dog chili sauce on top of fries or tater tots, and tope with shredded cheddar to melt,

Now that sounds like a great way to use leftovers! I actually think curry tastes even better the next day after all the spices have had time to blend together. Pairing it with chips is a classic comfort meal.

Quick and easy for sure
I cook up batches of base gravy and make every curry from scratch.
So the layering of the spices is really good
I counteract the chillies with peppers and tomatoes, and mango chutney.
I use a tandoori powder and an Indian Garam Masala, I add cumin, crushed coriander, crushed garlic.and crushed ginger, tomatoes paste, small amount of chillies powder, fresh sliced chillies, and garnish with 3 handfuls of fresh coriander at end when I put in the quartered fresh tomatoes
Attention to detail
This is what happens when one retires lol

You would give it a thumbs up
Probably not like anything you ever ate before
But when the layers of the spices gets you, it's quite addictive
