It just hit me

I’m sitting on the couch right now and it hit me that whenever I post something on mylot I never copy it into a Word document.
Posting on here is sort of like journaling, so it would great for me to have all of my mylot posts on my computer so I could go back and read what I had written whenever I want.
I checked my profile and it says I have published 2,243 discussions.
That’s a pretty big number of posts to copy and paste.
Doing this would be a very big undertaking.
I bet it would become frustrating too.
How I wish I could just copy everything with a single click of a button but that’s not possible.
Wonder if I should even attempt to do this.
Do you copy what you post here into Word or other application?

No I don't. Every discussion I wrote in mylot stays in mylot. I don't intend to keep a copy of it.
I dont' consider this my diary but a discussion site. Which means a conversation.

@lovebuglena Yeah it is your choice. I have my won diary so I don't use mylot as such. I only enjoy mylot to converse with people.

Yes, it’s a discussion site, but here we talk about our experiences or what we did on a certain day. I’d want to go back to those posts and read them.

@LadyDuck Usually before I hit publish I used to copy the text so if there was an error and I needed to repost I could just paste the text without having to retype anything.

I do not keep a copy of my myLot posts but I do write them out first and then paste and post, I keep a copy of some of my other writing but I am chocking up the space on my PC so then I was thinking why keep so many document if they are all posted and I can got to the site where I post and find any one of them, Here on myLot I used to keep copies and then stopped so the most interesting thing for me would be to go back and see some of my very old posts when I was still in Latvia but as you say that would take quite some time, Then again I just might give it a try one day,

You can probably search by keywords to find posts you want to go back to.

I should’ve done that. At the very least post here and then transfer to Word.
