This is creepy

Last week I was in bed and someone rang the doorbell at 5am. Yes am not pm. The first 2 times woke me up and I wasn't sure if I was hearing things right. Then they did a double bell ring. That was that. I didn't get up to see who it was. I figured it if was an emergency someone would be banging on the door and/or calling me.
Last night I took a sleeping pill around 6 which is much earlier than usual. I was woken up by someone knocking on the door at 11pm. (no bell) They knocked 4 separate times. My window was open so I then heard 2 male voices down in the parking lot. One said "no one is there". The other one said "did you knock?" The response was "4 times". There was more conversation as they lingered for a few minutes. Then I heard "no not that car". I jumped up to see if they were near my car but they weren't. I was like "were they going to try to steal my car and then saw it was a stick?" I heard something about a battery too.
I have no idea who they were. It wasn't my ex because he would have called or texted before knocking. It is really starting to creep me out. My next door neighbor has a Ring camera on her door so I'm going to ask her to check it out later so I can see who it was. I myself can't get a Ring for my door because I don't have a private wireless account. I just use the Xfinity hot spot.
I did text my ex when I woke up to see if he had come by but I would bet a lot of money that it wasn't him. We'll see what he says.

I would have answered the door just to see who it was. When we do that at night, Pretty stays in the hallway by the door so she can hear me talking to whoever it is. We do have a camera that is pointed at the front porch but I never think to check to see first.

Now that would have scared the heck out of me and brought on an attack of anxiety. If you want to hear even creepeir then when I first settled in my house in Latvia in the wee hours of the morning either one of two things would happend one was a knock on my bedroom door and the though to not answering and no one calling my name and then also in the wee hours the sound as if someone was chopping wood in the basement, I though I had bought a haunted house but with time it all settled down,

Um, this is serious. Check the footage, call the ex for help if you have to. Make a police report. And go out and walk around your car to be sure they didn't bother it, either.
