Run in with a skunk

My daughter has been taking our pup for a walk around 8pm. Just to give her another chance to do her business, stretch her legs and such.
Well, last night, they had a run in with a skunk. My daughter was fine, but the pup not so much. She got sprayed by the skunk.
We didn't have anything to help with this, but thankfully a neighbour has dog shampoo and such to help with the smell and all.
Not a pleasant situation to deal with especially at that time.

I thought you were supposed to bathe them in tomato juice. At least your daughter didn't get sprayed. When I had a dog here, I was always afraid he was going to get sprayed...although honestly, I haven't seen any skunks in this immediate area.

@dodo19 I wouldn't mind seeing one, as long as it stays away from me.

@snowy22315 Yup, I don't mind seeing them either. Just not upclose.

I bet it ruined their night walk. I hope they are okay now and smelling good. God bless.

Skunk smell is horrible and I feel bad that you had to deal with a stinky dog. I live in the country so I've smelled skunk many times..yuck!
