New Invention

I guess this is a new invention. I was taking a survey, and it was about a fan that turned itself on according to your body temperature. How can they detect your temperature? You wear what looks like a watch (from the pictures), and when it gets to a temperature you consider too warm, the fan kicks on. It is being targeted for menopausal women, but as a hot sleeper since I was a child, it would help me. I still wouldn’t buy it, but I wondered if anyone thought it would be a good seller. Would you buy it?

Maybe not. I don't want to wear anything on my wrist when I'm sleeping.

I think it is a neat and novel idea. If it wasn't too expensive I would give it a whirl.

Nope i have other needs. My AC in the workroom blows out codl air and when it reached the expected temp it turns off for a short while and then turns back on again,

Nope, I don't want that kind of invention that I need to wear something that are connected to a device. I just don't like the feeling it is not relaxing for me. Hehehehe.

Before I even read your whole post I thought of using that--since I currently have "power surges", as my Mom called them. Having a fan that automatically turned on when that happened would be nice!

I too wouldn't buy it. Sometimes you need the fan running slowly even when it's not that hot. Presently in my city because of the rainy season we need the fan but running slowly.

Nah. I’ve learned the “formula” that works for me, so I’ll not mess with it. My Apple Watch tracks my wrist temperature, so it wouldn’t seem that unusual to be able to connect a “smart” fan to that.
And I’m a “hot sleeper,” too. In the winter I have the bedtime temp down to 64F. In the summer, 67 with two fans running. I feel you…literally!

Rather reminds me of a driverless car--it's in charge, not you. I think I like the ''old'' way better.
Would I buy it? Doubtful, but I don't buy what I don't really need. When I am asleep, I am one of those people that has to have a cover/blanket in order to have a good sleep. If my legs aren't covered, I'm not going to sleep. I like the cool air when it's hot outside and I can't sleep, but I still have to have some type of little blanket.
