Making coffee in the dark

The tech here at the house sleeps on the couch at night. They all do. Must be nice to get paid to sleep for several hours. Anyway at 5am I decided it was time to make coffee. I had to open up a new bag to refill the container as well as refill the sugar jar. I did it in the dark because I didn't want to disturb her. That is crazy, right? If we are up then she should be too. We'll see how strong the coffee is. I'm afraid it is going to be jet fuel. I did the best I could in the dark.

The best way to start the day is with a nice dark roast black coffee. I hope it was good!

I used to work at a motel overnight on the weekends and got to sleep from midnight until 5 am, when I got up to make coffee for the tourists who were starting out early for the local-ish amusement parks in our area. I also woke up during the night if somebody rang the doorbell to let me know they needed into the office to rent a room. How is making jet fuel going to be a problem? Most people like strong coffee.

That was nice of you not to try to wake the tech up. If I were the tech though, I’d try to be be awake the first time someone was up for the morning.

That is very sweet of you to take such care in trying not to wake her. You're very respectful. I hope that the coffee turns out well, otherwise, with the price of fuel, you could set up a stand and sell it.

I hope that, with all your efforts, you enjoyed the coffee.
