I've been gone. On mental vacation. Or maybe I've been caught in a pool of swirling water. I don't know.
I get to talk to my not so favorite Doc on August 2oth. Maybe oh maybe he will start treatment then. Let's all hope its just pills and nothing more gruesome. NO to doing a bone scan on me.
I answered an ad for Medical Advocates. Holy Batman. Those folks actually listen to me. For an hour first a doctor then a sweet nurse. I'm not used to being heard.
I did it. I let go of my pride. I called the local bus folks so now Tuesday and Thursday I will be taken to the pool. No more excuses about how I am too tired to drive. The bus folks will get me there and back home.
Other news? We found another neighbor who is liked minded about spirituality. She lives about a mile from us- near the one that I have adopted, the one who supports me on this wacky medical journey. We had them both over at the same time for a piece of my simple cake and tea. Fun and loud hour!

I am so glad you found some goodness in this medical mess. The medical advocates sound phenomenal. Please share more about that if you feel like it.

Sometimes, we all need a mental vacation. If it helped, it's more than worth it.
I am glad you contacted the Medical Advocates. They have helped us at times, too. They actually do listen! And glad to hear about you getting a ride to the pool and back. That's one less worry for you.
So glad you had some fun with your neighbors, complete with tea and cake. Can't beat that! So glad you shared with us...medical journeys can be OH, so tough to navigate. And don't get me started on the paperwork! You are a special lady and so loved!
