Soldiers on the USS Lincoln are trying to jump overboard.

Nine months at sea, 250 days of not being on land, food and water often rationed, sad conditions. And these people are serving our country.
Their stays keep getting extended...many are feeling hopeless. One fellow I read about in another article told his wife that many of the soldiers on the boat have simply given up, and do not want to wake up in the morning.
This just breaks my heart.

Thank God my son stopped talking about going in the Navy. He was high on it for awhile. I didn't encourage the idea. Yeah, there are a lot of benefits..but if you get in a bad situation it isn't like you can just get off the ship..I feel for them.

@MarieCoyle I worry about Shanny's stepson who is over there too. He is a marine and would be really at risk in a ground invasion.

It's so hard on everyone...the ones serving, the ones who are at home missing them, and loving them.

That certainly does not sound good; my prayers with them. That is just about as bad as doctors trying to help the needy in Yemen, I have a friend there who want out but cannot get out, They have been attacked by terrorists and the last attack left him with a injured hand, He writes and tells me what's going on and trying to fugure how to get away,

Many people just don't realize how hard it is to be stuck in some of these places. My heart goes out to them.

It is a shame that our sailors are being treated that way from the government.

The US spends money so foolishly...redoing things that don't need redone, spending money on glitz and glamour, building a fighting cage on the White House lawn...but we can't take care of our military??? This is just beyond shameful and heartbreaking.

It reflects on our leaders, our country, and all of us. We can’t even take care of basic needs for those serving in the military???so sad and shameful.
