Wise choice
You could have really damaged your eyes with out using the eclipse glasses if you had watched it

@Ineeddentures the next solar eclipse visible in my country will ni 2042. It's total eclipse. 16 years from now. I might still be alive by then but who knows.

Never seen any eclipse
Not really interested
Whilst this eclipse was going on and people were gathered watching
I was on the couch watching TV.
And saw it in lots of other places

Unfortunately, it didn’t reach us here in Asia and only happened in Europe. I just saw the videos on Facebook and other social media apps, and I imagine it was an amazing experience for those who got to witness that rare moment of the sun being completely blocked in the middle of the day. Even if it only lasted a few minutes, it’s still a wonder to see.

I think I did see one eclipse a long time ago in Louisiana. I did taken precautions and not look at the sun directly during the eclipse.
