What Would You Do if You Won One Billion Dollars?

I have been dreaming about this for a long time. Someone in Illinois bought the winning ticket. What would one do with that kind of money?
First off, I would hire a good financial advisor, and a good lawyer. Then I would put some in CDs, maybe play the stock market a bit. I would also help people I know that need a break. I would help our local animal shelter and the church where my daughter has gotten food boxes from in the past.
I would also get out of here. I would either buy or built a home for me and the kids. Buying furniture for it and decorating it would be loads of fun.
Can you imagine being a billionaire? I'd be extremely happy with just about $8 - $12 million. Enough to live on for the rest of my life and enough for my daughter and grandson to live on after I am gone.
Dreams are nice and can occupy a lot of time.

Well I for one would not want that amount of money
What we have just now suffices.
We don't spend what we have now yet we have no debt, go on vacation quite a lot, and have a decent amount in the bank
We are comfortable
We are happy.
More money won't make us any happier.

That is a staggering amount. I have a daughter and a grandson, and I would like to be assured that they do okay after I am gone. So, A bit of money would be nice to leave them with no cares.

I’d walk into the first legitimate church and hand them a check and say, “Here, build apartments for those homeless people downtown.” Then I’d go to the no-kill animal shelter and hand them a check. Then I’d help family and friends. Oh, I’d get new vinyl flooring in my back room.

Money doesn't buy happiness if you have excess of covering your basic needs and a little left over for a rainy day.
I wouldn't want that kind of money, that is why I do not gamble.
We are not wealthy but we have plenty and we have each other which money cannot buy.

My thoughts exactly. Good idea I think. I want to help others and foundations that have help me and mine in the past as well.

I would see how far a couple million would go toward helping friends who need more than I can do now.
Honestly, since I don't buy lottery tickets or lotto tickets, if I won a large amount of money, I'd probably have a heart attack and die.
