I own more than one. In this country being under the sun is going to give you a heatstroke or a horrible sunburn. So always carry an umbrella with you when there's a need to be walking under the sun. And the weather is unpredictable here now that it's the rainy season. One moment it's sunny, the next, heavy rainfall. So always bring an umbrella with you.

I do and it is in my car. Since it hasn't been used in a couple of years, the handle is sticky from the heat. I was going to throw it away, but decided to see what happens when it gets cold. I could always wrap some fabric over the handle. It was an expensive umbrella too, one that won't blow inside out with the wind. So fingers crossed. I'll have to remember to take it out of the car next summer for sure.

@Ineeddentures I hope so. I bought it when I still worked at Louisiana State University and needed it then. But not so much anymore. I just don't go out when its raining if I can help it.

Umbrellas can be surprisingly difficult to choose these days, with so many options available, compact, automatic, windproof. If you were buying one, would you prefer a small folding umbrella or a full-sized one?

I owned one till few months back where I left it in a hospital waiting room. It's not the first to be forgotten as whenever I visit a plase when raining the chance of rememembering it is 50%
