I Don't Know Why

On a few things. First the court gave my son shared parenting. So now he has Adeline one week and mom has her one week. Of course he has her today and she is already absent from school. I am not a bit surprised. Mom had put me down as emergency contact so I get the texts too. Second the doors are getting hard to open and shut. At least our wooden doors. The air is that full of water. They are swelling from the moisture. It lightly rained again this morning. I need to get the grocery shopping done today. Then I will make some more jam. That's the excitement here today. Hope you have a good day.

I do not believe that it's an ideal situation for Adeline, but I suppose your son is happy to see her every other week. It's the humidity in the air that causes the wood to swell.

It's not good for her. Especially as this was the first day this week he had here and she has already missed. It's getting that bad here.

I went for a walk around the park at the library. I saw a tree that had been hit by lightning. Fascinating to observe the mark left by the bolt. I also got some money for going to the Fair next week; and, of course, I ate. I did laundry yesterday. While I changed my bedsheets, I didn’t wash them. They’ll have to wait until I’m in a laundry mood again. My garbage is set out, and I’m ready for my fake sorbet and a nap!

Both front and back doors here are wooden and have swollen shut. I can lean back and use my weight to open them but then have to pound on them to get them closed again. Pretty can't get them open or closed right now. We did grocery shopping yesterday... When the judge gave us shared custody, that's when Patsi took off to another state with Pretty. It took nine months to get her back again.

Yep, hot and humid will do that to wooden doors. I don't know what would actually fix it other than them just drying out naturally. That doesn't sound good for Adeline.

I bet if you called son to ask about it, he wouldn't answer or would give a lame excuse. Grown kids can be very frustrating at times. Mine is pretty responsible but not very considerate. Sorry about your doors Not sure what can be done about that.

Does sound frustrating that Adeline missed school already. All this rain certainly has been a nuisance and no doubt causing your doors to swell. I don't know much about door and moisture and if the swelling goes down when they get rid of the moisture or if you have to replace them.

Oh, my. And the first day of school is important for kids....doesn't sound like the best situation. I'm sure sorry. Everything here is damp, wet, muddy, or flooded. Not fun.
