Ain't no sunshine here... we're back to the rains, and so cooler temps. And of course, with all this rain, I can't keep up with the gardening. Yesterday, I spent about half an hour trying to cut back dead stuff before it started to rain again. And I don't mean a sprinkle. It was an immediate downpour, soaking me before I could manage to pack up my stuff and go inside. 
I could go out and try again, as it's stopped raining (for now) but everything's wet, and it's cold and windy. 
And we're being alerted to watch for waterspouts...

Gardening is never done, don't ya know? The grass always needs mowing, especially with the amount of rain we've been getting.

After all of the rain we got for most of last week (seven days of storms in a row!) I have pulled a lot of weeds, which are of course flourishing. I think I've lost 2 good tomato plants, due to the large amount of standing water that was everywhere for too long. Made me sad...I love tomatoes so much.
Wet, cold and windy doesn't sound like any fun at all. And waterspouts don't, either. Stay safe and warm inside!

Yeah, we had those high temps, too, so it's extra annoying to be having this cold this early.

Waterspouts are pretty amazing things. They can appear on a sunny day down in the Gulf (probably because of the heat and humidity). Hope you don’t have any pop up.
Here, we’re having gorgeous weather, a “fake fall” as one of our meteorologists called it last night. It’ll be back in the 90s by the end of the weekend, but I’m going to enjoy this while we have it!

Sounds like you are battling Mother Nature to get your gardening done. We've had a lot of rain this summer and I hope it doesn't mean we'll get a lot of snow this winter. Thankfully this week it's going to be nice with only rain coming on Thursday.

I hope we don't get a lot of snow, either. We got more than enough last winter, and now with the rain...
Not a good weather. Our heatwave is over and we expect severe thunderstorms during the nigh. Stay safe.

It's horrible trying to do gardening when it's raining or when it's not raining but it has rained and everything is wet.
What is a waterspout?
