Did you ever walk out of a movie?

Having been a movie buff most of my life I have seen all kinds of movies, the vast majority of which I enjoyed. I am watching one tonight which is pretty good. The subject in the movie has neurofibromatosis think Elephant Man..although the man in the movie has a case not nearly as severe. However, Elephant Man the story of John Merrick was a bit grotesque, but more than that it was very depressing..and shot in black and white. An hour of that, and I was done. Another movie I walked out on was Leaving Las Vegas with Nicholas Cage. It too was extremely depressing. Cocktail I thought was a boring and bad movie..the only good thing was throwing the bottles around. However, was there with my ex and we stayed until the end. He wasn't impressed with it either however. What movie did you start watching and just walk out? Were there any, or were you wise enough not to see it in the first place?

I don't think I have ever walked out. Maybe slept through a movie, but not left.

It is funny you mentioned slept through one. I fell asleep on every Harry Potter movie I tried to watch, including one in the theater, when I was with like 3 other people.

I remember that I walked out after only half an hour on a movie by Pasolini "Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom", it was disgusting. Another was Caligula by Tinto Brass. too crude and disgusting scenes.

I don't usually get into movies that are too graphic.

I can only remember walking out of a movie once. It was as a teen. But that's it. It was just that one time, as far as I can remember.

I have never walked out of a movie. Anymore I would rather watch a movie at home.

I would rather watch in a theater, but I rarely go these days. Too far away, and too expensive.

Elephant Man and Leaving Las Vegas both had stellar reviews, but being uncomfortable at a movie is not my idea of a good time.

@snowy22315 - Then again, I don't go to a lot of movies. Last time I went to see a movie in a theater was the Jeff Bridges remake of True Grit. That's a long time!

so far, none yet. I seldom go to the movies. If I go, I make sure I like the movie. If the movie turns out not so nice, I will still stay and probably sleep

Friend constantly falls asleep in movies. Why pay for a ticket if you are going to sleep?

yes I have. It was Batman Returns. My best friend and I went to see it, but one part of it was too gross to me and we walked out.

I would have probably just shut my eyes until the part I didn't like what was over.

I have stayed seeing a movie until the end. I usually walk out of a theater early to avoid a rush of movie fans though before the closing creits ends.

I don't watch all kinds of movies. I only love family entertainers and love stories. If they disappoint or too much sentiment is there I may leave .. but that didn't happen till now
