I bought my daughter one. It's not really the kind of boots you wear anytime you feel like it. They’re specifically for the rainy days when the streets start flooding and you need to keep your feet dry. They may not be the most fashionable shoes for everyday wear, but when the rain is pouring and the water is rising, they’re definitely worth having. But hey, they come now in different colors. I bought the caramel color, but they have cream, army and olive green, pink, navy blue, red and black. Better to be prepared than to end up walking through floodwater with wet feet.

I heard in the news that sales of those kinds of shoes have increased in recent weeks. I think it’s practical to wear them, especially when floods start and you need to walk through the water. However, I’ve seen some areas where the water level is higher than the boots, so I guess a much longer outfit is needed when dealing with floods deeper than knee height.

Fortunately the water around UP Manila did to not go higher than the knees. I'm not sure about Padre Faura. Usually it is gutter deep. You know that I see one used by fisherman it's like pants together with boots overall

@rakski Yeah, I saw one being used by a TV reporter covering the floodings. I think it’s appropriate when the water reaches waist height.

I agree, better to have boots for high water and ruining your shoes and getting wet! I love that rubber boots now come in different colors. I got some tan ones not too long ago. I use them for going to chicken coop on rainy days.

@rakski Very much so and you don't have to track up the house coming inside with them either. Leave them at the door!

yes, true. Especially my daughter has foot eczema so we don't want her feet to soak in flood water

There have been so many days I wish I had rain boots. I live in a city that frequently floods, so my feet routinely get soaked whenever it rains. Your daughter is very blessed to have gotten a pair from you.

The area where the university is located quickly floods gutter deep whenthere is heavy rain. I think this boots will be so useful for her to keep her feet dry and shoes intact
