Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 65 degrees F and cloudy here at the Jersey Shore. The high for today is 83 but with clouds and maybe rain. I miss my pool peeps.

I am winding down summer break. It is back to reality on Tuesday. I woke up this morning and wasn't sure if it was Saturday evening or Sunday morning. Nice problem to have.

I'm looking forward to Wednesday. It is the 1st pay of the school year and it is a "big" one without voluntary deductions like union dues, disability, retirement, etc. I mean "big" is all relative but it is a nice way to kick off the year. I don't even understand how I haven't ordered groceries yet after 2 weeks. I mean I don't need pantry staples but I am always needing fresh produce and dairy. That changes today. I need some fresh stuff and also snacks for the kiddos and myself at work. This week will be an absolute you-know-what show but I haven't been able to bring myself to get in there to set up the new classroom. We'll just go on various excursions around the building to collect stuff and get our steps in.

I don't plan to actually start teaching until next week. We only have 2 full days and then a half day on Friday before the holiday weekend. Soooooo I'll be hanging around here waiting on groceries and chilling with the cat crew. They will be sad to have me back to work.

Hey it keeps them in food and treats though. What's everyone else up to today?

You sound like you got some good sleep.

I sure hope so. I’m headed to church in a few hours. I haven’t been for the last two weeks, and this morning I definitely slept well enough to go. Afterwards, I need to run by my pharmacy. That’s all I’ve got going on here. I just know it will be 102 F and I’ll be dreaming of Canada on my cruise.

I’m going to run to the grocery and pick up some more frozen fruit for fake sorbet since it’s going to be H O T this week.

I mowed a patch of lawn my lawn guy keeps missing. I am packing for Bob and tending to Bob. I am sad.

I hope you get your groceries and enjoy the evening with the cat crew. So from what I understand, you will return to work on Monday and will be hanging out in one room waiting for kids to come and go???

As Amber said, it does sound like you had some rest. I hope you did. No big plans today. It’s dark,dreary,and drizzly. The kind of day that makes me want to take a nap!
