Repeated calls from same number

I received a call Thursday from a number I don’t know so didn’t pick it up.
The person called back again that day.
I ignored the call.
Friday, another call came from the same number.
And I got it just now as well.
Didn’t pick up of course.
None of the times a call came from this number has a voicemail been left or a text sent.
I went to whitepages and did reverse phone lookup for this number.
It doesn’t tell me it’s spam but it also doesn’t tell me who it came from.
It says no registered phone owner information found.

Something I found out is that scammers can make the number that appears on your caller ID look like a local number. So you really never know for sure. I just figure that if it's someone who wants to get a hold of me and they are legit they will leave a message.

@celticeagle I was told that when you get a call from an unknown number you should just ignore it, meaning let it ring. Do not cancel the call. Do not do anything.

I block calls that come from numbers that don't leave a message. If they can't tell me who they are, I don't care about talking to them.
If you don't answer that kind of call, they can't do anything to you.

@lovebuglena That's why I block the number. It doesn't matter how many times they call if I can't hear the phone ring and it doesn't show up "unknown caller" on my caller ID.

Only thing is if you keep ignoring the call they make continue calling you.

If I get a call and it could be spam the phone actually displays that info. It says “spam risk” on the caller ID.

@lovebuglena at times, Spammers take a new connection & start calling...by the time other flag it as spam collectively, it has made calls to 20-30 odd people

I doubt that lol. It’s not an international number. Though I hear people can call from anyone and make it so displayed number is local.
