One of my mini-projects from Montana. / myLot

My main project from this Summer was the restoration of the bridge across my creek. This mini-project was supposed to be in service of that larger project, but I decided not to use this tree for my joist/span. This Douglas fir had fallen (actually just mysteriously leaned) across the dirt road to our neighbor's cabin, so I cut it away and then removed all of the branches. It will be used in future projects. If you look closely at the photo, you can see the orange saw I used for all of my cutting. I just left it stuck in there when I took a brief break to add a bit of oil to the blade. How is your Friday shaping up? I am still "developing" photos from the trip.

I’m so jealous you went to Montana. That is a dream of mine. I had a doctor appointment this morning that went great. Unfortunately, the technician to fix my internet just got here, and he’s two hours late. On the positive side, it IS getting fixed. Even if I mainly use my phone for the internet anyway.
