It's terrible. It simply is terrible. Having acutely unhealthy air quality for several days now.
We have to thank Indonesia for that. The forest and peatland fires there is causing the haze in my region.
It's not really safe to be out and it is a must to wear a mask at least.
The same is happening in Malaysia. They're affected too.

Yes it's truly awful. I have to wear a mask when going out. If not, I would cough. Air is terrible.

A few weeks ago we couldn't open the windows because of smoke from our usual fires. We have them every year. I am not able to breath in the smoke due to a sensitivity to bronchitis. I hope to hear your ear has cleaned a bit soon.

@toniganzon ........We had that after St. Helens blew and a few years back when the fires we get were much too close. I hope yours get gone. Maybe some rain will come to flush it out.

@celticeagle yes I hope so. There is an incoming typhoon but it's heading north of the country again. We are in the heart of the country.

We have the same issue in the northern US, where wildfires in Canada is causing really bad air quality conditions in both countries.

we get sand from africa whenever it rains or it's windy. hate that. and as for air, i wonder when it's true healthy.

The air quality is gauge by the particles that are in it. When it's unhealthy, as per the gauge done by proper authorities, we are at more risk of coughing, or getting sicker. Especially for those who have weak lungs.
I know our air is populated. But pollution takes time to actually affect us and if we have higher immunity, we could avoid getting sick at all. But if the air is unhealthy as per advised by the authorities, the effect is immediately felt. Thus we must wear proper mask.

@toniganzon i have weaker lungs and i check on my app how the air is here not great too but sometimes it's ok. i guess it's still okay cause i don't see anyone wearing mask here, except when people are sick but it might be too early for colds and flu, i think. i'm sorry you're facing this. yes, masks can help, for sure.
