Have you heard of mosaic crochet?

The photo shows the creative work of another of our retirement village residents. These pieces are all crocheted but it’s not like any crochet I’ve seen. She calls it ‘mosaic crochet’ and says she learnt it from YouTube tutorials. Guess where I’m heading next! The big rug on the right took her two years to crochet with wool she purchased from Turkey. I’m not sure what you could make from mosaic crochet but I’m guessing rugs, place mats, maybe even jackets. All I know is that I’m keen to try my hand at it.
