Hello everyone. I hope your day is going well. It is 78 degrees F and sunny here at the Jersey Shore. It is gorgeous out there! Speaking of "out there" I got to the pool around noon. There were a few people there but that was it. I spent time chatting with 2 different couples. There were kids using my pool mat. When I saw it was free I went across to get it. Some little like 4 or 5 year old grabbed it and was ready to fight me for it. I told her that it was mine and her response was "then why was my family using it?" What do you say to that? "Because they overstepped their grounds? Because they are rude?" I was The Grinch and took the mat back over to my friends and laid on it by them. Anyway it was really nice at the pool until suddenly there was a surge of parents and young kids. YOUNG SCREAMING KIDS. We got up and left before our food was served and I made it very clear through my eye language why we were out. So here I am with the Cat Crew. I'll get back to that tonight. It is going to be an early night What's everyone else up to?

I wish the kids had stayed away. They are why I’ll never get in my complex pool. That, and I swear I saw a lady shave her legs in it once. I’m back home with Sadie after a good day with the family.

I am not a germ freak but I really don’t like public pools or a bunch of people screaming all around me. Not one bit relaxing!

Nothing like the pool closing down on a sour note. I had lunch, got some critter food, and went to the store for a few things. Made a fake key lime pie (with cool whip, lime jello, and key lime yogurt).

I left the lake once when I'd taken a car full of friends and their kids down there. I bought kid-sized floating toys for the kids because I planned on using my large inflatable tube myself. One girl, about 12 years old started telling me she wanted my tube. I told her no so she got loud, ordering me to let her have it. Her dad asked if I could swim. When I told him I could, he asked why couldn't his daughter use my tube. I got up, deflated my tube and left, leaving all the people I'd taken to the lake, an hour drive from our homes, at the lake. I don't know how they got home and really didn't care.

Just watching TV at the moment. It's been a big day so I'll be going to bed a bit early.

Sorry your pool time was cut short. Maybe you shouldn’t leave the pool mat there? It’s not right to use other people’s belongings. Is this the last day of the pool being open?
