First leg of the trip starts today

I have checked in online for both myself and son, and have our boarding passes on my phone. Flight isn't until Tomorrow AM but I am leaving in a few hours for friends house, as he lives near the airport. He will drop us off at the Metro tomorrow and from there it is only a few short minutes to the airport. Since we are checked in already and have no bags to check, there shouldn't be any time pressure. Hope, hope anyway. I am just about packed..but will have to make a couple of short stops on the way to friends. Hopefully, the traffic won't be bad getting up there. Not sure how much I will be online, but I will probably have time to make a post or two over the coming days. Have a great weekend..and will post as time allows. Not taking my laptop..so will only have phone Kindle to work with.

It should be a fun trip. By this time tomorrow, I should be either relaxing in my hotel room or shopping at the close by shopping center with the Harry Potter store, maybe swimming .but that will probably be tomorrow evening if I am not too tired.

@snowy22315 Check out the hours for the swimming pool when you arrive so that you don't go and see that it is closed. I would think that swimming might be a very nice way to end a long day, it should help you relax and then you will get a good solid night's rest.

Not that long..with luck I will be back in the vicinity..not home by Monday afternoon. So approximately 4 days.. a bit less. Hoping to be here at the house by early Monday evening. Amtrak is famous for delays so hope they aren't too bad.
