Bubble Wrap on the Walls?

Bubble Wrap was invented in 1957 by two engineers who intended it to be a modern, textured wallpaper. It never caught on. They realized that the product had excellent cushioning properties. Today it is used around the world to protect delicate items in shipping.
Isn't it interesting how many products were originally invented for one certain use but was found not work well, so it was repurposed?

It would be great for bouncing off, if you got the large bubble wrap. Probably good for heat and sound insulation too. Much better than panelling I am sure.

Before the advent of the internet and doom scrolling, I would spend many a happy hour popping the bubbles in a sheet of bubble wrap. It was very satisfying.
