Busy Day

First I loaded my friends stuff with what I bought her Tuesday. She was very happy with the box of mixed mini pumpkins and squash. Then I kept her stuff gathered up as she bought so it was easy to load.
I got a dozen ears of corn and a half peck of cucumbers for 3 dollars. They are very tasty. No fun goodies today. Maybe next week.
I placed another order for Halloween costumes this time. Me and my friend try to do the same a couple of times each October. We already have matching panda bear pajamas. Now we will have matching capes.
Hope you had a good day.

I was wondering the same thing when I read that! I have heard of a peck before, but I honestly could not tell you how many cucumbers that would be.

It's a container measurement size. How many depends on the size of the cucumbers or whatever you put in the container.

@wolfgirl569 Ah. So I guess the amount or number is not set because we can be talking about different size containers here, huh?

They have so many pumpkins coming in right now that they asked the guy to cut back. But in a couple of weeks the pumpkins will slow down and he will have more room again.

@wolfgirl569 That is true. We don't have to worry about most things going into the garbage with chickens around!

Yes it would except we don't eat much corn. I might pickle part of this bag. I usually try to just buy a half dozen. The same with the cucumbers but at that price the chickens can enjoy them too

You really are keeping busy! Those matching panda pajamas and now matching capes sound like so much fun. And getting all those cucumbers and corn for $3 sounds like a pretty goo

I have been eating a lot of cukes and tomatoes lately. My friend Bonnie brought us some fresh corn on the cob and we had it this evening. It was so good!
