I have a hole in my toe

Or maybe "divot" is a better description. This post might be kind of gross for some people but hey here we go anyway. I noticed last week that the 4th toe on my left foot was hurting. I was busy doing my thing at work so I didn't get a chance to see what was up until almost the end of the day. I took off my shoe and sock. . . and there was a big blood blister. I have absolutely no idea what caused it. It wasn't like I had been working out or my shoes were new/too tight/whatever. I pressed down on it and POW it broke open. I used tissues to soak it all up and then was looking at the empty blister skin. I pressed down on it just to make sure that there was no more blood and POW suddenly there was an explosion of clear fluid. It was like some kind of mystery cyst or something in my toe. So that was that. It was strange but I was glad to just not have that pressure and pain there any longer. This morning I was putting some cream on my feet before putting on my socks and noticed that there is like a big divot where the blister was. I mean we're talking about like a mini-crater. It isn't bleeding or oozing or anything but the area definitely is tender. That cyst in there was pretty big! I wonder what caused it. This afternoon I put some antibiotic ointment and a band aid on it. It doesn't look infected or anything but I don't want to take any chances since its so deep and feet get sweaty with socks and shoes on. The whole thing is very odd.
